Switching from Bing to Google Maps Instructions
In the coming weeks we are transitioning our map provider in Fleet Director 9 from Bing to Google. This change requires you to update to the latest version of Silverlight. Once the map takes effect, you will be prompted to make these updates once you log into Fleet Director. When you log in, click OK to update to Silverlight version 5 runtime. Once that is updated, you will be asked to run the Fleet Director 9 plug-in which will update and install the items described below.
Computer administrative rights are needed to perform this update. If you do not have admin rights on the computer(s) that runs Fleet Director 9, please inform your IT administrator of the coming change so that necessary steps are taken.
Items that will be updated on your computer:
- Your current Silverlight runtime version will be updated to the most recent released version – Silverlight version 5.
- The Fleet Director 9 plug-in installation will make a registry update and it will install a code signing certificate named TTCodeSignCert.pfx issued to Teletrac by Comodo Certificate Authority under the current users “Trusted Publishers” certificate store.
